The City of Brookfield is located in Waukesha County, Wisconsin and is the second largest city in the county and boarders the western side of the City of Milwaukee. Located just off I-94 west of Milwaukee, Brookfield is just minutes away from world-class attractions like the Milwaukee County Zoo and Millar Park.
The city was founded in 1954, originally part of the Town of Brookfield, which still exists to a small degree on the western edge of the city. Brookfield uses the Elmbrook School District and shares the schools with the Town of Brookfield as well as with Village of Elm Grove and also a minor portion of the City of New Berlin.

This includes a state of the art aquatic center, pavilion, lodges, skate board parks, athletic fields, trails, tennis/volleyball/basketball courts. Playgrounds, skating ponds and rinks, and miles of hard surfaced pathways and nature trails.
Fox Brook Park is well known for its swimming beach located around a man-made lake. Families can enjoy pedal boating, scuba diving, swimming, play structures, volleyball, and much more. The park is 223 acres, 178 acres of it is wetlands, which is preserved and protected as a natural habitat. This allows for many bird species like the gold finch and the indigo bunting to make their homes here. There is also a mile-long paved trail encircling the lake with three wildlife viewing areas to take in the natural beauty and tranquility of the park.
For a little taste of history, there is the Dousman Stagecoach Inn Museum historic park. This unique park features a picnic area, Greenway Trail System Trailhead, shelter, and various historic building and structures.
Brookfield has a great farmers market that runs from May to October, where you can find the finest local farmers and producers of local goods. It is the oldest market in Brookfield.
Amenities are plentiful in Brookfield with over 20 shopping centers like Brookfield Square Mall, including specialty and national retail, and over 150 restaurants.

At this point, you will have to take a trip to the Biloba Brewing Co. tasting room to try one of their 10 specialty beers on tap but eventually Biloba plans to make their brews available at local restaurants, bars and retail locations.
